  • Virgin Olive oil is a lower grade oil than Extra Virgin Olive oil but is still cold pressed and from the first pressing. Virgin olive oil must have a free acidity, expressed as oleic acid, of no more that 2 grams per 100 grams (2.0%) and with all other characteristics the same as Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
